Contraception

There are many different types of contraception out there, and it’s important to find one that works for you. We've collated some useful links that provide information on the various forms available. We also recommend talking to your GP, or going to your local GUM clinic to discuss your options further.

NB: Natural or withdrawal methods are not recommended.

Natural methods may be suitable later on in life, but not while your menstrual cycle is still irregular. As sperm are present in pre-cum (the liquid that is secreted before ejaculation), the withdrawal method does not protect from STIs or pregnancy.
